The results of blood lead tests of 618 people in Dong Mai hamlet, Van Lam, Hung Yen, made  by  the Institute of Occupational and Environmental health  (MOH), showed that 207 children (65 % of those who took part) suffer from lead poisoning.

Lead poisoning in Dong Mai hamlet has attracted a lot of attention of the Ministry of Health and public. Against this backdrop, today, 06/25/2015, Pectin Technology Co. Ltd in partnership with VIT Corporation and the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health signed a cooperation agreement for the use of a dietary detox supplement PECTIN COMPLEX for prevention and  support treatment of lead poisoning in Dong Mai Hamlet.

The following delegates attended the ceremony: Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung - Chairman of VIT Corporation, Mrs. Yuliya Lyuta - Director of Pectin Technology Co. Ltd, PhD. Doan Ngoc Hai – the head of the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of environmental health management and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh - Deputy Director of Health Department of Hung Yen province.

Lead is a toxic substance which accumulates in the body and affects different organs and systems and is especially harmful for young children. Lead disrupts the brain function and central nervous system, causing coma, convulsions and even death. Children who survive after severe lead poisoning may suffer from mental retardation and intellectual impairment. Lead exposure also causes anemia, hypertension, and renal failure.

The basic ingredient of a dietary detox supplement PECTIN COMPLEX is sugar beet pectin which has very high complexing and absorbing functions which help to eliminate toxins, heavy metals, pesticides, radionuclides, and other persistent chemical contaminants.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of the Environmental Health Management appreciated actions that the Institute of Occupational Health and Environment takes to reduce lead poisoning of children and adults. At the ceremony, Dr. Doan Ngoc Hai - Director of the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung - Chairman of VIT Corporation have jointly signed the cooperation agreement for the use of PECTIN COMPLEX for prevention a support treatment of lead poisoning for people in Dong Mai hamlet.

The parties have concluded that the efforts and contribution of PECTIN TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd in partnership with VIT Corporation and the Institute for Occupational and Environmental Heath is very necessary for the health and benefit of Vietnamese people.
